Home Learning

Teachers at Barwic Parade Community Primary School are setting learning activities each week in-line with the school's curriculum. The learning set is what the children would be covering if they had been in school. Work set can also be found on our class pages here.

Learning is being communicated to parents on a regular basis using the school's website, the MarvellousMe communication app and Google Classroom.

A range of websites are being used to enhance teaching and learning such as BBC Bitesize, Oak National Academy, Spelling Shed, Times Table Rockstars and Espresso-Discovery Education.

In addition, there is a key focus on daily Thrive activities in order to support mental health and well-being.  Where children do not have access to the required technology, the school has loaned Ipads and Chromebooks to families.

All forms of home learning are being celebrated using the school's Facebook Page and the teacher nominated 'Home Learners of the Week' celebration post.
