We love to read and sing in Nursery! We have a selection of core stories that we want the children to become familiar with and know well by the time they embark on their next big adventure in Reception. We always re-visit our core texts to embed them in various ways which supports language acquisition and a passion for reading and book exploration! Our belief is that through deep diving into these core texts; the children will develop an enriched vocabulary, become familiar with the plot and rhythm of a story and re-tell these stories with confidence.
The stories that we have selected are fun, colourful and engaging. They are repetitive and offer many opportunities for children to join in. The stories are also beautifully illustrated which supports and compliments the text, furthermore enhancing each child's learning experience.
