Mrs Ayed-Phase Leader and Reception Teacher

Hi everyone! I have taught in primary schools in Leeds, York and  Selby over the last 20 years. This is my ninth year here at Barwic Parade! I always wanted to be a teacher since I can remember- I especially love the awe and wonder of working with young children and making learning magical. As a child, I fell in love with Enid Blyton’s collection of magical adventures in ‘The Faraway Tree’ and I still love reading these to my class to this day!

I am a mum of two grown-up daughters and  I also have three  granddaughters aged 13, seven and 14 months old,  who keep me up to date and on my toes! I love nature and particularly the moon and stars. In my spare time I prefer to be outside whenever possible. I also like languages and I speak French, Spanish, German, some Arabic and I am learning conversational Italian. :) 

Mrs Waring-Teaching Assistant

Hi, I’m Mrs Waring and I am a teaching assistant working in Early Years and KS1. I’ve worked at Barwic Parade for seven years now.  I  have two children aged 16 and 12 who both came to our school too. We have a family guinea pig and I especially love singing, musicals, theatre, spending time with my family and going on holiday to the beach together. :)
