Computers, tablets and other technological aids are used throughout the school to equip pupils to develop computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. Computing has deep links with mathematics, science and design and technology where ICT skills are taught as a discrete subject and as a means of supporting other areas of the curriculum. The children are taught how to use technology appropriately and communicate with others safely.

The core of computing is computer science, in which pupils are taught the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work and how to put this knowledge to use through programming.
