I am very proud to welcome you to Barwic Parade Community Primary School in my capacity as Chair of Governors for the school.
The Governing body works with the Headteacher to promote high standards of education and achievement and sets a clear vision, ethos and strategic direction for the school; whilst holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils and for the performance management of staff.
The Governing body also has oversight of the financial performance of the school and effective use of school resources. Simply put it is the role of the Governing body to ensure that all the children attending our school have aspirations to do well and succeed whilst getting the best education they possibly can.
