We are looking for a flexible, friendly, hardworking individual, who can join our small but very busy School Office Team, delivering valuable administrative support to our school community.


Barwic Parade Community Primary School is a good school striving to make a real difference for its pupils and the School Office provides vital support to make sure everybody matters and every moment counts, so if you feel you want to work with us and get really involved you could be the candidate that we are looking for.


You will be the first point of contact for any visitors to the school and therefore a friendly and confident manner is essential, as is the need to prioritise and work under pressure. Duties will include answering the telephone, school and financial administration and maintaining records. Essential abilities include strong inter-personal skills, IT skills and applicants must have the ability to show initiative and work independently and as part of a team. School office experience and knowledge of school systems is very desirable, but strong administrative and IT skills are essential. We need an honest, dedicated, flexible and reliable new member to join our team. A sense of humour is a pre-requisite

Unless the candidate has experience of working in a School Office, the successful candidate will be expected to commit to professional development to enhance their knowledge and skills, which may involve some travel. This is an established post, working 16 hours per week. The normal hours of working would be 8.00am to 4.30pm on a Monday and 8.00am to 12.00 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Some flexibility may be required to meet school needs but this would always be done in consultation with the successful candidate.
