Hours:                                     8 hours + 20 mins per week – 11:30 to 13:10 Monday to Friday

School Visits:                          On request

We are looking for a confident, energetic, creative individual who can lead structured play activities for all pupils who are aged between 4 and 11 years of age.


Barwic Parade Community Primary School is a good school striving to make a real difference for its pupils. We believe that by offering a range of activities, a safe place to play and opportunities open to everyone to try something new we can enrich our pupils play experiences. Activities may include games, individual play, drama, singing alongside other stimulating learning opportunities.


You will be an energetic, playful, proactive play leader who has a positive personal presence and a strong work ethic. You must be well organised, be prepared to lead and generate new ideas, and work well with children and adults alike.


We are committed to providing quality personal development opportunities and will fund course and training costs. The successful candidate will be expected to commit to over 60 hours of professional development to further enhance their existing knowledge and understanding of the impact of positive of play on children. You must be prepared to be fully first aid trained and deliver appropriate first aid treatment if needed.


We will support your introduction to school and give you a sense of direction. It will also be important that you feel comfortable and confident to take on this challenge and make this role your own, leading and manging a team of lunchtime colleagues.
